AutoCAD is the world's leading Computer Aided Draughting program with over 10 million users worldwide. The course is specifically tailored to the needs of users in a theatrical environment, whatever their discipline. The course consists of six parts and is structured so that you can create simple drawings after Part 1. In subsequent parts, you will return several times to areas already covered, building knowledge and exploring alternative methods of achieving results. The concept behind the course is to give you a foundation of skills, allowing you to start using the program straight away and build on your knowledge. The tutor is David Ripley from cad4theatre who provides both training and CAD resources to the entertainment industry. Each part of the course is about 50 - 60 pages long and should take about 10 hours to complete. This will vary from person to person and is structured to allow you to work at your own pace, with the coursework being provided online via a dedicated website. Exercises throughout the course are submitted via email, allowing progress to be monitored and feedback given. At the conclusion of the 6 part course a free tutorial introducing 3D drawing is offered. As soon as your payment has cleared you will be contacted by David Ripley, the course tutor, with details of how to download the training materials for each Part of the course that you have purchased. You will also be sent a guide on how to download AutoCAD 2016. The ABTT offers full support to those taking the course via a dedicated email address from David Ripley, so that any queries, comments or problems can be dealt with. Course Costs: The cost of each part of the course is £80.00 + VAT. Software Downloads: The current version of Autodesk AutoCAD 2016 may be downloaded under educational license upon purchase of ABTT AutoCAD Part 1. The period covered by each registration is 36 months (3 years). To download the Software you must have already purchased, or include payment for, Part 1 of the ABTT AutoCAD course. This offer is only open to those undertaking the AutoCAD Course.
